Developer John Drew considered postponing the topping off ceremony on Wednesday at Waterside Place in the wake of the Boston Marathon twin bombing, but decided it was best to show the city’s toughness by keeping to the schedule. “We thought about holding the event on another day because, quite honestly, the bombing was so traumatic for Boston,” Drew told the Boston Business Journal as a crane hoisted the last beam atop the $122 million apartment project. “But the other side of me said that we really should go on and not stop everything…We just thought that we should move forward. The city is not going to stop. The city has to show its resilience, so hopefully people understand that.”
