A joint development between the Drew Company and Fidelity Investments, the 426-room Seaport Hotel opened in 1998 and was one of the first buildings to be developed in the Seaport District.  Situated on the harbor’s edge, The Seaport hotel is a AAA Four Diamond, service-inclusive property with 17,000 s.f. of flexible meeting space, a restaurant, lounge and retail shops.

Named one of the ‘greenest’ hotels in America, the Seaport has a groundbreaking environmental program dedicated to sustainability and conservation.  It was one of the first hotels in the country to offer a completely smoke-free environment and was the first hotel in Boston to provide in-room recycling.  It was also the first to use a composting system. Among other firsts:  First hotel in the country to use chlorine-reducing “Grander Water Technologies in the swimming pool, first hotel in the country to use EnerNoc’s Carbon Trak accounting software, and the first hotel in Boston to provide complimentary electric vehicle charging station.  The hotel uses an energy smart roofing system, designed with plants to reduce the atmospheric heat and conserve energy.  Its organic garden on the plaza level provides herbs for the restaurants and is home to one million bees that allow the hotel to harvest natural honey.
