John E. Drew

Chairman

John E. Drew is founder and Chairman of the Drew Company, a Boston-based real estate management and development company.  He is the developer of the Seaport Complex, which includes the Seaport Hotel and WTC Boston, Seaport East and Seaport West; Waterside Place, a 236-unit mixed-use luxury rental apartment building; Xfinity Center, an outdoor amphitheater located in Mansfield, MA; Bayside Exposition Center; and Constitution Plaza in Boston.  He also serves as Chairman of Trade Center Management Associates, which manages the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C., and the World Trade Center Dublin.

 

Mr. Drew has been a member of the World Trade Centers Association since 1985 and currently serves on the Board as Vice Chairman.  He also advises the US Department of Commerce in his role as Chairman of the United States Northeast District Export Council, Massachusetts region.  In 2002, Mr. Drew was appointed by the Principality of Monaco to serve as Honorary Consul of the Consulate of Monaco, overseeing the New England states and served as Consul until 2013.  He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, Stonehill College, Cathedral High School in Boston, and former Chairman and current Executive Committee Member of the Board for the Boston Municipal Research Bureau.

 

Mr. Drew received his undergraduate degree from Stonehill College, a master’s degree from Boston University, an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Newbury College, and is one of the region’s top authorities on public-private partnerships and development. His civic commitments include Chairman Emeritus for Caritas Christi Health Care System in Boston, and Chairman of “A Better City” (an organization of business leaders working to ensure Boston’s future competitive advantage).

 

John P. Drew

President

John P. Drew is the president of The Drew Company, an innovative, Boston-based real estate management and development company. The Drew Company has developed several major projects in Boston including Waterside Place, The Seaport Hotel and the Seaport World Trade Center Complex.

 

He is also the president and CEO of Trade Center Management Associates (TCMA), which manages, leases and operates the 3.1 million square foot Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (RRB/ITC) in Washington D.C. As director of the Dublin World Trade Center, Mr. Drew represents the Trade Center as a member of the World Trade Centers Association, whose mission is to link people and businesses around the world that share a common vision for peace through international trade and prosperity. In managing the International Trade Center in Washington, DC, Mr. Drew is guiding a unique public/private partnership with the U.S. Government to promote and facilitate trade in the United States.

 

In addition to his many roles, he is also active in the business community, currently serving as a Board Member for the Trust for the National Mall, Trustee for the Federal City Council and on past boards for various organizations in cities in which he does business. Mr. Drew is also a Board Member for Destination DC, the lead destination marketing organization for the nation’s capital. Mr. Drew received his Bachelor of Science degree from Boston

College and Master’s Degree in Business Studies from the University of Dublin/Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, Dublin, Ireland. Prior to working for The Drew Company, Mr. Drew was employed by Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. in their Dublin and Boston offices in the Investment Services Division.

 

Maureen Pace

Vice President

Maureen Pace, is the vice president of the Drew Company, overseeing strategic business development for the overall company with the Chairman and President.  She is also the president of World Trade Centre Dublin and WebPort Global, the international business arms of the Boston-based Drew Company.   As a member of the Drew Company Executive Management Team, Ms. Pace has more than 20 years of experience managing corporate strategy and new business development.  She has been responsible for a number of consulting projects with government agencies and businesses of all sizes on the development and management of business operation functions and programs.  In addition, Ms. Pace has had extensive experience helping small businesses who are challenged by the complexity of expanding into new markets, providing valuable international trade education and services globally.

Ms. Pace has led the business operation in Dublin since 2014, in addition to managing the development and launch of WebPort Global (WPG), a premier global network that bridges the gap between public and private trade resources to support small businesses on an online platform.  The platform allows SMEs to understand and maximize their competitive advantage in the global market as well as network and connect with new opportunities.  The WebPort Global community currently represents over 60 countries, more than 100 business partners and thousands of SMEs benefiting from membership within an affordable, efficient, international and professionally trusted environment.

WebPort Global and World Trade Centre Dublin have made Ireland their gateway to Europe.

 

Theonie Alicandro

Chief Operating Officer

Theonie J. Alicandro is Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel, for Drew Company.  She specializes in overseeing new development and management projects, operations and strategic planning for the company. With a background in corporate and real estate law, she advises the company in all things legal and works on new business development initiatives. Her expertise in deal structuring and strategic planning is an integral part of her role with the company. Theonie shapes the vision, programming, and concepts for hospitality and mixed-use projects and plays an active role in negotiating complex legal documents. Her practical approach to problem-solving and keen business acumen has allowed Drew Company to successfully complete complicated developments.  Prior to joining the Drew Company, Theonie spent 15 years at Gilman, McLaughlin & Hanrahan, LLP where she was a partner in the transactional department, specializing in commercial real estate, acquisitions and dispositions, corporate governance and contract negotiations. Theonie received a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a Juris Doctor degree from Boston University.
