Senior Project Manager -Atlanta
Douglas German is the Senior Project Manager for Drew Company with 8 years of construction and development experience in luxury hotel and mixed-use projects. Douglas’s natural inclination towards leadership and work ethic were nurtured during his time at The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, where he was honored as the highest-ranking athlete on campus in the position of Company Commander his senior year. He was also a scholarship athlete and played football all four years. The structure, grit, and overall strong-minded attitude The Citadel provided Douglas have stuck with him and since have become cornerstones in his career and character.
During his time with Tishman Speyer in Atlanta, he was responsible for assisting the Sr. Director of Design & Construction in various major interior and exterior Value-Add renovations to Colony Square and Midtown Plaza in preparation for their successful acquisition by other developers. He also managed various tenant buildouts within the two Class-A buildings, most notably Fox Sports South (31K sf), Purchasing Power (46K sf), and Teach for America (20K sf). He also had an integral role in the initial phases of developing Three Alliance Center in Buckhead.
While with Dewberry Group in Charleston, South Carolina, Douglas managed the construction and development of Oyster Park Apartments (269 Class A apartment units complete with 40,000 SF of retail space) and a 10,000 SF addition to an existing retail center, Dorchester Square. Also, during his time there, he oversaw the redevelopment and rebranding of Roosevelt Square in Jacksonville, a 26-acre shopping center. Douglas entered the world of luxury hotels when he managed the Dewberry redevelopment of the L. Mendel Rivers Federal Building which is now home to Dewberry Group’s 155-key flagship hotel and Charleston’s first 5-star hotel: The Most recently, with Brasfield & Gorrie, Douglas has been heavily involved with the construction of Thyssenkrupp’s North American Headquarters Innovation and Qualification Test Facility near TruistPark. He was responsible for managing MEP, IT, Security and Low Voltage for the entire building.
