Richard D. Currier Jr. started his career in the construction industry directly following his graduation from college. Throughout his career Richard has managed almost every type of construction project including shopping centers, hospitals, churches, multifamily, hotels, and high rises.
Richard began his career working as a project manager for a medium sized general contractor in the Midwest. When he turned 30, he started a new construction management/ general contracting business that grew to over 30 million dollars in revenues with-in three years. That company specialized in office building, multifamily and shopping center projects. After eight years, Richard sold the business. After moving to Atlanta Richard continued in the industry managing a wide range of construction projects which include a high-rise condominium, various mixed usedevelopments and multiple shopping centers. In his role, he led a team project managers and was responsible for all estimating, owner contract negotiations, subcontractor contract awards, change order control, project schedule creation and maintenance, and create Owner billings. Richard was the main communicator with the Owners and Developers and would manage OAC meetings and create the weekly and monthly reports and was ultimately responsible for the overall profitability of the projects.
Richard’s vast experience in the construction industry makes him a well-qualified professional to be the Director of Construction, Atlanta and manage the construction of the development projects for the Drew Company in the Southeast region.
